The Wyoming Festival – New Music in the Mountains

The Wyoming Festival brings together composers and performers of new classical music, with an emphasis on nature, ecology, and creativity. Each year select composers are invited to attend and their pieces are played by local musicians. Several performances are open to the public at the end of the event to showpiece their creations. This year’s topic is the 2017 Solar Eclipse.

See a video profile from one of last year’s composers, Ayala Asherov Kalus.

2017 Solar Eclipse Events

In August, 2017 a total solar eclipse will be visible from some parts of the US. The Research Station will be a prime viewing location! Scientists from NASA will be at the station, and we will have various events scheduled in the days leading up to the date of the eclipse, and of course a (safe!) viewing at the station on Monday, August 21, 2017.
